Therapy DetailsFiona is able to provide Speech and Language Therapy for children and young people with a wide range of communication difficulties, including:
(This is not an exhaustive list. Please do not hesitate to contact Fiona if what you require Speech and Language Therapy for does not appear above.) Talking together aims to provide the highest level of care for you or your child. In order to achieve this a significant amount of time is spent in preparation prior to an assessment/therapy session and upon the after care service. Below is a description of what is typical of an assessment or therapy appointment. Informal Meeting and Discussion This would last for about half an hour. The purpose of this meeting would be to give you more information about the services that Talking Together provides, to discuss your specific requirements and to answer any general questions you might have relating to your child's speech and language. Initial Assessment AppointmentAn initial assessment lasts between an hour and an hour and a half and includes a summary report. In certain circumstances, this session will last longer or further assessment sessions may be recommended e.g. a nursery or a school visit. Additional hours spent are chargeable but this will be discussed with you in advance. Standard Therapy Session A therapy session normally lasts between 45 minutes and one hour. This is time spent with the child/parents or teachers. The fee includes time spent outwith the consultation in preparation of material, planning and liasing with parents and professionals.
Therapy CostsAll fees are within the guidelines agreed by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). For more information on current fees, please contact Fiona on: 0141 649 3890 or info@talkingtogether.co.uk
